Safety Signs used in everyday life…

Safety Signs used in everyday life…

1) A baby gate makes a room much safer for a child as it stops them from going into a room full with hazards that they should be no where near. There’s no way they can open it or break it.

2) A radiator is also a good invention to have. It protects the child from touching a very hot radiator and burning themselve.

3) The next one is Foam flooring, if you have wooden flooring and if your child fell down and bumped their head- that could leave a nasty swollen bruise but foam flooring is a soft bouncy material that fits together like a jigsaw and is child safe.

4) Glass safety film can be used on mostly anything with glass. Mostly used on doors, tables, windows etc. It’s designed to contain any loose jagged shards should the glass break so the children wont get cut or hurt.

5) Lastly, the Door slam stopper. It’s a simple horse shoe shape in a foam material which goes on the side of the door and prevents the child from getting their fingers or toes trapped.

1) A goal post that is falling down is a hazard. It could easily fall on someone and injur them. You could prevent this by either getting a new goalpost or fixing the broken one so it’s sturdy and wont fall.

2)Blocks of wood laying on the ground may be a hazard if someone were to pick them and chuck them on someone or throw them through a window and smash someone. On the other hand someone could easily trip on the blocks and fall over or even worse because the blocks were near the stairs someone could trip and fall down the stairs. To make this safer, they should move the blocks somewhere inside where they’re locked away and only the teachers who need them can get to them.

3)This high voltage danger sign is not a hazard, it’s preventing a hazard but if someone were to get the sign off the door/wall somehow- people wouldn’t know where they were entering and it could be a very serious injury. To prevent this happening they should make the sign really stable and non-breakable or put it high up on the door or wall so people can’t reach it.

4) A hole in the girls changing room door could be a hazard if someone was getting changed near the hole and then someone came and cut them with a sharp knife or object- they  could also take pictures of the people getting changed. To prevent this they should either fix the door and get rid of the hole or buy a new door.

5) In this picture the ceiling is falling apart and it will eventually rip off if nothing is done to prevent it. This could be dangerous if anyone was walking below it and then it suddenly fell on them or if there is anything dangerous above the ceiling it could injur them also. To stop this from happening they should fix the ceiling with plaster or something strong.
